Sebastian Pohl

  • Sebastian Pohl is the Managing Director of DRK Assistance and a seasoned expert in emergency services and public policy, combining academic excellence with hands-on operational experience. He studied economics, politics, and public management in Konstanz, Friedrichshafen, and Sydney, earning his Master’s in Politics & Public Policy from Macquarie University. As a graduate of the Global Leadership Program, he brings international perspective, cross-cultural skills, and strong leadership capabilities. His journey with the German Red Cross (DRK) began in 2002 and he has since held various voluntary and professional positions in rescue services, water rescue, and disaster response for over two decades. Passionate about youth engagement and family support programs besides his professional managing positions within DRK Assistance, Sebastian also leads family camps and youth initiatives. He believes in the power of action: “I joined the Red Cross and DRK Assistance to help – and in doing so, I’ve been able to grow and shape change.”

Andreas Speich

  • Andreas Speich is the authorized representative and a pedagogue with decades of leadership experience in the humanitarian sector. Holding a degree in educational science, he has led teams and projects with a clear mission: to serve people based on their needs. His strength lies in empowering teams to deliver their best, always with a focus on people and solutions. His professional path is shaped by early involvement in church youth work and a strong belief in the core Red Cross principle of neutrality: “helping solely according to the degree of need.” With his deep understanding of human behavior, communication, and motivation, Andreas is an anchor in challenging situations and an advocate for ethical leadership. His work is rooted in empathy and effectiveness – a combination that drives sustainable impact.

Nadine Stollenwerk

  • Nadine Stollenwerk is the Head of the Medical Operations Center at DRK Assistance and a highly respected leader in the medical assistance field, with over 20 years of operational and management experience. A certified translator and expert in health and social management, she brings together language skills, compassion, and in-depth industry knowledge. Nadine has held key leadership roles across the assistance industry and has worked extensively in hospice care on a voluntary basis. Her reputation is built on empathy, professionalism, and a strong network within the international assistance community. She combines communication strength with strategic vision, always focused on delivering quality care under pressure. “The Red Cross – including DRK Assistance - is an organization I associate only with positive values – I’m proud to be part of it,” she says. Nadine stands for human-centered leadership and brings a wealth of experience and heart to every challenge.

Ron Walter

  • Ron Walter is the Manager of Medical Flight Operations (Chief Flight Nurse) and Deputy Head of the Medical Operations Center at DRK Assistance, where he combines international business expertise with hands-on experience in emergency medical aviation. He began his journey with the Red Cross back in 2011 during a voluntary service year, completing his training as an emergency responder. Following his nursing degree and work in intensive care units, he completed his B.B.A. in International Business and has since continuously evolved in both leadership and practical experience - with over 100 accompanied missions in both commercial escort and air ambulance operations. His background includes dispatcher work in the Medical Operations Center, ICU experience, and psychiatric nursing. Fluent in English and conversational in Spanish, Ron is committed to international cooperation, precision under pressure, and compassionate care. „The Red Cross is the biggest humanitarian organization in the world - and being part of that mission is something I deeply identify with“, he says – „what started as an internship experience turned into a meaningful career built on purpose.“

Petra Coenen

  • Petra Coenen is a seasoned executive with over 20 years of leadership experience in emergency services, logistics, and health operations. A graduate in business administration and former non-commissioned officer in the German Armed Forces medical service, Petra has held senior roles across multiple branches of the German Red Cross. Her responsibilities have included leading the Emergency Services Division in Düsseldorf, directing control centers, and overseeing house emergency and medical transport services. For the past decade, she has led the Medical Operations Center and now serves as the Head of Administration at DRK Assistance. Petra brings strong leadership, intercultural competence, and operational excellence to every task. “At the Red Cross and DRK Assistance, I've found more than a job - I've found a mission that fulfills me,” she says.

Bastian Hennlich

  • Bastian Hennlich is the Senior Business Development Manager and brings a unique dual perspective to the German Red Cross - as both an experienced disaster relief volunteer and a strategic leader in business development. Since 2015, he has been active in emergency response as a leader in disaster control and, since 2017, as a paramedic. He also serves as incident commander at large-scale events, including the Arena auf Schalke. Professionally, Bastian joined the Red Cross full-time in 2023 to support DRK Assistance’s business development efforts. His role focuses on identifying new business opportunities, building partnerships, and driving innovation. With strong communication skills, analytical thinking, and a deep understanding of stakeholder needs, Bastian bridges operational and strategic work with ease. “DRK Assistance & the German Red Cross unite everything that matters to me - meaningful work with societal impact,” he says, something that becomes evident when working with clients and creating new opportunities.

Franziska Huck

  • Franziska Huck ist he globally focused Business Development Manager at DRK Assistance with a strong foundation in international business development. Holding a double Bachelor of Science from Hochschule Hannover and IT Carlow (Ireland), she has gained experience across the U.S., Ireland, and Germany. Since 2024, she has led international development for the DRK in the areas of Air Ambulance, Assistance, and Medical Escort. Franziska is also deeply committed to social impact - she volunteers on the board of “Zeichen gegen Mobbing e.V.”, a nonprofit focused on creating bullying-free school environments. Her strengths lie in adaptability, curiosity, process optimization, and cultural sensitivity. “I joined DRK Assistance to help people in a meaningful way - and to be part of an organization that truly lives the values I believe in,” she states.
